Making Science Make Sense
20 students of grade 5 and grade 6 participated in the “Making Science Make Sense” competition held by the Bayer Group, at Somaiya College of Management on 15th April 2010.
Competition was divided in two parts.
1. The Audio Visual Round: In this round they showed videos related to daily life and thus tested the student’s knowledge about the application of science in everyday life.
2. The Hands on Activity Round: Here they provided materials (double sided tape, resistors, battery and a motor) to make a moving insect. The challenge for students was to make it walk in a straight line.
Shining stars from our school are as follows:
1. Nehal Vora – grade 5 – 2nd prize
2. Ayush Bhagat – grade 5– consolation
3. Ankit Prabhu – grade 6–consolation
