Field Trip to

Monginis Factory

Yepp!!! Goodies at every turn…..

On Saturday the 19th of June the children of Grade I & II had their eyes full and mouth watering at the Monginis factory.

Monginis – “The cake shop” is a major Indian pastry Cake and general bakery chain. During the field trip the children were delighted to see the variety of cakes manufactured. The effort, hygiene and hard work put in to make every cake a very special one. All the workers at Monginis Factory proved it to us that they really stand by their motto. “Go ahead Celebrate” The children also had the pleasure of enjoying cakes.

The students of grade 5 took the world in their tiny hands. Truly speaking…. The activity wherein they innovatively transformed a small tennis ball into a globe in the social studies class. All stud

ents were excited as the replica of the Earth was now their treasured tiny show piece on their study table or a gift for their parents. Each students was provided with a tennis ball which they coloured blue and green to show the continents and oceans.

It was an enriching experience as they took the world in their hands proving that they are truly the makers of the world..!

For Science Grade 6 performed an activity in which the class was divided into 3 groups. One group went to miss Jagruti in the office, the other group went to miss Delphina in the science laboratory, and the third group to miss Farhana in the library. They took a small interview of miss Jagruti, Delphina and Farhana regarding how they classify things and sort things. This interactive activity helped the students to understand how important it is to classify things even in our day to day life and how organization makes one more efficient.

Hindi dialogue writing in Grade 9 was made interesting by having a dramatization in the class. In this manner students understood the way of delivering a dialogue and got the nuances of dialogue writing. The activity also set them excited to do more dialogue writing.

Students of Grade V11 learnt to write informal letter in Hindi. As an extension of letter writing, they learnt to make envelopes and wrote postal address of their friends or their own and the letters were posted. It created a lot of interest and excitement among them to post their handwritten letters.
