Grade 7 - Laugh and the world laughs with you
In the midst of lessons when everyone is busy teaching and learning students of grade 7 were having a hearty laugh at jokes being told by each of their classmates. Every student, wearing a fancy joker hat was asked to tell a joke in their respective class as required by a chapter in the ‘Empowering English’ – ‘Laugh and the world laughs with’. This session was justly light hearted one without any pressure on any one and truly enjoyed by students as well as the teacher and the goal accomplished with future stand up comedians in the making.
Design and Technology Level 2 Electric Motor
Design and Technology Level 2
Electric Motor
Electric Motors are used everywhere around us, in Fans, Refrigerators, CD Players, and so on
.
Students constructed a model of an Electric Motor.
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. If a current carrying conductor (in this case, a copper coil), is placed in an external magnetic field (represented by the magnet), a force is produced, which rotates the coil.
Grade 3 Science:Our Feathered Friends Activity and Show and Tell
Grade 3 Science: Our Feathered Friends
Activity and Show and Tell
Students were amazed to see an actual Egg of an Ostrich, brought by a science teacher, from her personal collection.
One student had brought the Nest of a Weaver Bird. Both these specimens proved to be very educative and exciting.
There was a Show and Tell session where students spoke about different Birds, and their Feeding habits.
