Activity for the concept of Zero (Grade 1)

Introduction session for the Concept of Zero was conducted through an activity by placing the paper cups upside down on the table, some of them with few stones under them and some empty. Students were asked to come one at a time and lift a cup. If a student finds stone/ stones under the cup they were asked to count the number and say the number loudly in the class. If the students find the cup empty students were asked to say Zero loudly.
