Observation of animal cell (cheek cell) under the Compound microscope:

An activity to observe the cheek cell (animal cell) was conducted with the students of seventh grade.

Every student was made to scrap their inner cheek using a toothpick. The cheek cells that were scraped were mounted on the slide and stained using methylene blue stain. The slide was then observed under the microscope.

This activity enabled the students to learn how to mount a slide and understand the different parts of the microscope.
