Grade 4 - Food Preservative



























Students of grade 4 made lemon pickle using salt and turmeric powder as a preservative. Lemons were cut into four pieces each and then the students were asked to sprinkle turmeric powder and salt over them. They then mixed the ingredients with a spoon and bottled up the lemon in an airtight jar. Students enjoyed the activity of making pickle and learnt the use of preservatives in various food items.
