Friday fun day

On our fun filled activity day , children were taken to the piano room. The music teacher played few notes for the children.many of them were excited and enjoyed listening to the piano. For many of them it was first time as they played the piano. All the children got a chance to play the piano along with the teacher.

Following the musical mood was the puppet show where children met Mr. Mango – the king of fruits searching for sunlight, air, water and nutrients to grow. Children learnt the importance of growing plants and the needs of plants. We ended the day with a hindi rhyme ‘chana kisne boya’.

Nature walk- types of trees

Children of foundation classes were taken for a walk around the school to view different types of plants, shrubs and trees. For eg: banyan tree, coconut tree, creepers, plants, etc. teachers explained children the difference between the tree, creeper and plants through analization. Children were excited on the whole after this educational walk and gained practical knowledge about the same.

Field trip- Salon and tailoring institute

Children of all the foundation classes were taken for the field trip to a saloon and tailoring institute. In the salon children learnt about the hair dresser and the different types of instruments used by them to cut hair. Many children who had the fear of cutting hair had a good opportunity to overcome it as they visited the salon with their peers.

After the hairdressing, children were taken to the tailoring institute where many sewing machines were kept and tailors were stitching different types of clothes. Here also, children were shown the different instruments of the tailor and the method in which clothes were stitched. It was quite an educational trip where they got a first hand experience on many new things.
