ARTICLES – “ A” AND “AN “

The concept of articles was taught to the children of grade 1. “a” is used before consonant sounds and “an” is used before vowel sounds. To help the children understand the concept better the students of grade 1 had an activity. Flashcards with words written on it for example ____ pen, ____egg, ___ owl was given to each child. The flashcards was in the shape of a leaf or a star. The child had to read the word aloud and fill the blank with ‘a’ or ‘an’. The chit was put up on a chart and was displayed in the class.
