The children of Grade 1 were asked to bring pictures of their favourite nouns-one common noun picture and one proper noun picture.
The children brought pictures of themselves, their parents and famous personalities for proper nouns. To learn about common noun the children brought pictures of ice cream, balloons, cakes etc.
Children think in pictures. Children also learn by looking at pictures bought by other children. The children were delighted to see their pictures put up on a chart as part of the activity to learn nouns.
