Students of grade 8 did an activity were they made electroscope from the waste materials like empty transparent bottle, aluminium foil, copper wire & bottle’s metal cap.
The objectives of the activity were as follows:-
a) First they have charged the electroscope with negative charge with help of ebonite rod & flannel cloth and observed that the leaves diverged.
b) Then they brought opposite charge so the leaves collapsed.
c) They also proved laws of electrostatic attraction & repulsion.
They enjoyed the activity and called it as magic of static electricity.
