Day 1: 10/10/2011 Buddy reading.

One of the best ways for children to understand why reading is important is for them to see those around them reading. To ensure that children grow up with a passion for reading it is important to take the time and answer the question why reading is important. Reading stimulates the development of the brain and improves language

On 10th Oct.2011 the secondary section of RCIS began celebrations for the Literary Fest.

Buddy reading was one interactive session that the children had amongst themselves. The class was divided into 5 groups. There was a leader appointed for each group, the leader was to read out the story to the members of his group, 30 minutes were given to all the groups to read out the story. Remaining 15 minutes were given for discussion wherein the leader would ask questions based on passage read and it would be discussed by all. The activity was thoroughly enjoyed all the students.
