Khari Kamai : Grade: 5 Div: A,B and C

The Khari Kamai activity held on the 20^th of June,2012 was a learning experience for the students as well as the teachers who had organized it.It turned out to be a great success with joint efforts of the teachers and the students.The items that were served were cheese and chutney sandwich,corn chat and Tang.Participation of students to help out in any kind of work to be done was excellent.The stalls set up to serve different food items were efficiently managed by the grade 5 students with the required help from the teacher assigned to each stall.The students therefore got a very close experience with managing money and developing communication skills.Distribution of  the food items to the grade 1 students was effectively managed by the students assigned the duty thus, polishing their leadership qualities.Through this activity the students actually got to know the importance of money.They learnt something about marketing as well by advertising the food item sold at their stall.Stalls running out of food items was the proof which backed the fact that the items prepared were very tasty.The activity was truly a very good opportunity to learn a lot of things that students generally do not get to learn or experience in their daily life.A sense of accomplishment is developed within,when a person gets to do something on his /her own,the same was developed among the students of grade 5 at the end of the activity.
