Concerned
about the growing mishaps involving two wheelers in the state, a investigation
based activity was held for the students of grade 5, to create an awareness
about the safety measures to be followed.
Various headgears
(normal cloth cap, plastic helmet and scooter helmet) used by motorcycle riders
were showed to them. Students were asked to observe the effect of hammering on
these protective gears. As per their observation ,the students drew a
conclusion that the scooter helmet is the best protective gear compared to a
plastic or a normal cap. It gives maximum protection to the rider.
