To develop the concept of living and non- living
things the children of grade 1 were asked to bring a picture of their favourite
living or non- living thing. Children participated very enthusiastically by
bringing pictures of animals, plants, chairs, mountains etc. They spoke a few
lines about the picture they brought. This
activity not only enhanced their knowledge about living and non- living things
but also gave them a platform to showcase their speaking skills.
