Grade 8 : Investigative study in physics: Making an object float when completely immersed

The students of grade 8 performed an investigative study where in they had been given a task of making an object (initially floating partially) to float when completely immersed in water without touching the bottom of the beaker.
The students enjoyed the given task and participated enthusiastically.
The investigative study not only helped to understand the concept of floating and upthrust of water better but also provided a clear foundation for the much difficult concept of Archimedes’ Principle.
