Students performed an
activity to enable themselves to understand the different taste zones on their
tongue. Three different types of solutions were prepared- sweet, salty and
sour. A student was made to place a drop of any one solution on different
regions of the tongue of another volunteer. That student would then guess the
taste of the solution and also identify the region where the taste was predominant.
They enjoyed this activity
as they were able to correctly detect the taste and the region on the tongue
where that taste was felt strongly.
