The primary purpose of descriptive writing is to describe a person, place or thing in such a way that a picture is formed in the reader's mind.
To achieve the above objective an activity was conducted wherein the children were asked to use vivid vocabulary to describe the physical features of their classmates. They were also shown a PPT presentation regarding the same. At the end of the session, few pictures were shown and the students were asked to describe the physical appearance and clothing.
The main purpose of writing a descriptive piece is to paint or create a picture through words and improve their writing skills by making it more interesting and engaging to read.
