Opening Rustomjee Cambridge International School : Virar

Rustomjee Cambridge Internationallaunched its new school in Virar (West) today setting another benchmark as the first international school in the city. The purpose behind this is to ensure that students seeking quality education will no longer need to relocate or look for other options outside the city. They now have a reputed school offering international curriculum right at their doorstep.

The school is located in the mega township, Global City which is jointly developed by Rustomjee and Evershine Group. Lokneta Shri Hitentra Thakur and Shri Narayan Raoji Mankar, Mayor of Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation along with Mr. Boman Irani, CMD, Rustomjee inaugurated the school.
Rustomjee Cambridge established the first IGCSE school in Dahisar in 2006. In an independent survey last year the school was ranked amongst the Top 25 international schools in India. "Our mission is 'To Make Education a Priority' said Mr. Boman Irani, Chairman & Managing Trustee, Rustomjee Cambridge International School Trust. The aim is to groom students into responsible citizens of our country, and the world - who are aware of their moral and social responsibilities. He added that owing to strong emphasis on learning by doing activity-based pedagogy and a lower teacher-student ratio, parents in Virar can now look forward to giving their children the opportunity to learn from the best, and compete with the best.
Lokneta Shri Hitendra Thakur spoke words of encouragement to the students and parents, and of the growth of Virar township because of the many new projects that have come into existence in recent times. Mayor Shri Narayan Raoji Mankar mentioned that whilst Vasai-Virar had a very strong education base, the international school would strengthen it further. He was proud that Virar residents now have access to one of the best schools in the city.
A Virar resident, Manali Kamath said, "Years ago being from Virar, we were in search of a good school. When we heard of Rustomjee International, at Dahisar we shifted there to give our son quality education. We feel that it was one of the best decisions taken by us as our son excelled and with appropriate guidance from the school, he surpassed our expectations by having a World Record of getting 100% in four subjects in the board examinations. That has been the most exhilarating moment of our lives. Now, we are thrilled to know that many residents of Virar will benefit as Rustomjee School opened its branch there. Our son after completing his schooling from Rustomjee Cambridge now plans to study at the Universiy College London, one of UK's Top 5 Universities."
