'Show, don't tell' is a technique which enables the reader to see the picture through words. To enhance this skill, a power point presentation on the same was shown before the class activity. Students of grade 5 were divided into groups in their respective classes and each group was given a picture of a famous personality (they were instructed not to disclose the name). The kids were asked to describe the physical appearance and mannerisms of the star. Later the teacher read the group work and asked the other students to guess the name of the star. The kids not only told their friends about the person, but also presented his/ her picture to the class through their words.
