My experience at IIMUN was  excellent. The sessions were very informative and gave me a basic idea of the working procedures at the UN. I would appreciate if such sessions are held frequently.

MY FIRST SPELLBOUND EXPERIENCE AT IIM-UN!!!

IIMUN was one of my greatest experiences. Not only did I learn but also increased my confidence and gave me time to unwind and enjoy myself to the core. On the opening ceremony I got a wonderful opportunity to see eminent and successful people who an inspirational speech to all of us. It was a moment of great delight when, I  got to see Dilip Joshi who is the lead actor in Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chasma. The overwhelming day ended with  a rock concert, that will be etched in my mind for ever.

We were all geared up, dressed in our best on the first working day at IIMUN. I got a chance to voice my opinions ample of times. I was apprehensive and made a few incy wincy mistakes initally but got better as I stood up the 5th time. This was possible only  because of the valuable tips given to me by my chair and the co-chair.

The third day was the best one for me, we were dressed in traditional Indian wear, and my confidence was at an all time high. On this day I received great information and came up with great ideas and submitted 4 working papers. Also I gave some good ideas too and submitted four working papers. My new pals at IIMUN, guided me through the process. After a great lunch we all joined back and continued our discussion. Alas! there was a crisis waiting for us and we had to come up with ideas to prevent or solve the issues discussed. And believe me it went great; we might have actually found a solution to a world problem.

15th of August was a day of learning with knowledge . We all got  to hear renowned actor like Veer Shah convey his message through fun but at the same time enlightening.

The last day was fun as we had a lot of time in our hands, which we utilised in constructive discussion, where we even got to know our new friends better. Soon the day came to an end and it was time for the prize distribution. To my dismay I did not receive a trophy but the learning and confidence IIMUN has given me will be the trophy that I will treasure the most.

Model United Nations (M.U.N), a once in a life time opportunity to be a representative of a given country and I, Neil Pednekar was given that privilege this year during the IIMUN (Indian International Model United Nations) conference. I couldn't have asked for a better time to represent Poland. Walking into the World Trade Centre was like walking into a business meeting; everyone looked really smart in their suits and ties. Preparing for the conference, solving world issues and debating with strong opponents (delegates) wasn't easy at all but with the help of some trusted websites and study guides, I was able to get through IIMUN with a special mention from the judges. Around 2000 young minds came together to form Asia's largest youth gathering. The brainstorm was immense. This was one of the most influential and intense weeks of my life.

IIMUN was a fabulous experience. On the 1st day, I was very nervous mugging up 2 speeches as a delegate of Finland for my committee "SPECPOL". But as the committee started I realised that mugging was of no use; you had to speak impromtu, which was not easy given 50 delegates in front of you. The experience taught me the nuances of presenting myself. Time just flew by discussing working papers and draft resolutions with "new friends". The chair was also very friendly and we were sharing android applications together!

IIMUN was a great learning experinece. To sum it up all I can say is "IIMUN WAS AWESOME"!!!
