Hydraulic Scissor Lift
Students understood the concept of hydraulic pressure.
The basic scissor lift was made using linkages. A platform was attached above the lift. This was mounted on a base.
Two pistons were attached, one to the moving shaft of the base and the other piston to the first one, via a tube.
Water was filled in the tube, so that when the 1st piston was pressed, the 2nd piston was released. This pushed the lift shaft and the platform could be thus lowered or raised.
