An activity was conducted for the students of grade 4 to understand how animals protect themselves in their environment. Students made clay models of the Leaf insect and the Stick insect to show how it uses camouflage to take on the appearance of the leaf so accurately that predators often aren't able to distinguish them from real leaves.
