Characteristics (features) of Living and Non Living Things were explained to the students through various activities and demonstrations.
Experiment: Soaked bean seeds and pencil was kept in a container on a layer of moist cotton. Students observed the changes in the bean seeds regularly and noted their observation.
Stomata Slide and Specimens
Students observed the "Stomata" slide on a microscope. The tiny openings of Stomata gave the students clarity of breathing process in plants. They also observed some specimens like earthworm, snail, frog¸ water bottle, chalk, book¸ pencil etc, which helped them to distinguish between Living and Non Living Things.
