Soil
In this lesson, students learnt about the different layers of soil, and also the various types of soil. Specimens were displayed in the class.
Experiment 1: Permeability of different types of soil was tested by filtering water using clay, sand and gravel.
Experiment 2: When air was blown over some loose soil and also on the soil in a potted plant, it was observed that the loose soil was easily displaced. This proves that planting more trees can prevent soil erosion.
