Origami – Boat Making was held as a recap activity on water transport. Each child was provided with a colored marble paper and a white plain paper to stick the boat on. The children were called individually by the teacher and shown the method of making a boat. There was a lot of excitement among the children for choosing a particular colored paper to make “their boat”. The children after sticking the boat on the plain white paper were asked to fill the paper with colors and their imaginations.
This activity not only reinforced the concept of water transport but also helped enhance the child’s fine motor skills and imagination.
