Seed Germination

To teach the concept of ‘Seed germination’, teacher conducted an activity with the students of grade III. Teacher collected different things needed for the germination i.e. soil, seed, water, etc. She made 5 groups of students and each group sowed different types of seed in the soil and covered the same with the soil. Later, they poured sufficient water on it. Students placed the tray near the window so that the seed get sufficient sunlight and fresh air. By performing this activity they learnt that, to grow a healthy plant it should get proper air, sunlight, nutrients from the soil, good manure and water.
