Rustomjee Cambridge International School & Chanakya Chess Club 4th IB, IGCSE, CBSE, ICSE School Chess Championship 2010-11
The 4thIGCSE, CBSE, ICSE interschool chess championship organized jointly by Rustomjee Cambridge International School & Chanakya Chess Club on 18th & 19th September 2010, was inaugurated by the Director of Rustomjee Group of schools Mr.Hanif Kanjer. The event Hosted by Rustomjee Cambridge International School, Dahisar (W) Conducted by Bombay Chess Association under the Auspices of Maharashtra Chess Association for Boys & Girls Separately in different age category of under 6, 8, 10, 12, & 16 till grade X
More than 50 Schools from Mumbai Virar, Badlapur, Vashi, Dombivali etc.( Jamanabai Narsee School, Beacon High School, Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Lilavatibai Podar Senior Secondary High School, Gundecha Education Academy, RIMS International School and Junior College, Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School, North Point ICSE Sch. Koparkhairane, Turbhe, Gokuldham High School & Junior College, Thakur Public School) were batting for the coveted Best School and Runner-up Trophy, apart from the individual 10 prizes in each group and 8 in each girls group. Non prize winners get participation certificates for motivation. The Champion Trophy was won By Rustomjee Cambridge International School , but the School decided that the trophy should go to an outside school i.e.Thakur Public International School & Runners-Up Trophy was won by Jamnabai Narsee Int. School.
