Std—7A Date---27/9/10 Monday.
Subject ---Physics
Topic ---------- Convection currents in liquids and gases.
Students of grade -7A have learned about the convection currents in liquids and gases with help of demonstration done in class. They actually saw the colour of potassium permanganate rising up and then moving down causing the currents getting formed in water. They also saw the air currents getting formed using shoe-box with 2 chimney’s and placing burning incense stick under one chimney & placing lighted candle under the other. The fumes travelled forming current in the box showing convection currents.
Such simple demonstration’s give the learners a clear picture of what the topic is & how to relate them to daily life activities.
