A healthy bowl of salad
Grade 1 children were asked to bring a vegetable each for the Salad Day activity for their science lesson – Food for health. They brought carrots, cucumbers, cabbage, beetroots, tomatoes and pomegranates for topping. The vegetables were cut and shredded to make a vegetable salad. It was dressed with chaat masala and decorated with pomegranates. The bowl of salad was a delicious sight. Each child was served with a bowl of salad which they relished. To our surprise the children happily ate each vegetable severed in the salad to them. Most of them went for a second helping too.
Oh! We wish the mothers could see their children eating a healthy bowl of salad.
