Gorai Trip

14th Feb, 2011

The Gorai Boat Trip was scheduled on 14th February 2011. The trip was determined to make the students of Grade 6 to understand the concept of the poem “Sea fever“. For the trip Miss. Diana, Miss. Kusum, Miss. Nelecia, Miss. Prachi, Miss. Jasmina and Miss. Jasmine had accompanied the student.

We started the trip at 8.45 a.m. We boarded the bus from Rustomjee Cambridge International School premises to Gorai Creek. At Gorai Creek we met Mr. Hemant who had organized the boat for the trip. Mr. Hemant helped all of us to board the boat at 9 a.m. We made the students settle down in the boat and instructed them not to stand or lean out of the boat rather enjoy the view outside while travelling in the boat.

With this the students got an idea how pleasant and soothing the atmosphere becomes when we travel in the boat. The student enjoyed the ferry to the fullest and they were very excited to learn the poem after coming back. They were discussing with each other about the trip and hoped to have such trips again and again. While the students were enjoying the trip, we clicked photos of the scenery outside the boat.

We returned to the Gorai creek at 10.45 a.m. and thereafter boarded our bus back to the school. We reached the school at 11 a.m. and resumed to our classes. The trip was over in the span of 2 hours making it successful to learn the topic “Sea Fever”. The memories of the trip will always remain fresh in our minds.
