Secondary: Parts of flower

The students of grade 6 learnt about parts of flower in a fun way. They learnt the parts with the help of actual flowers. The students were divided in groups and they were given hibiscus flower. The students then dissected the flower and learnt the different parts. Each and every whorl starting from the calyx to the pistil was observed. For very tiny parts like the ovules, students were provided magnifying lens. The 6th grade students had dissected the flowers for the first time and so they enjoyed a lot. They were also surprised to see the small parts of the flower.
