Parts of Plants
In this lesson, students learnt about different parts of plants and their functions.
Edible parts of plants such as Carrot, Beetroot, Ginger, Cabbage, Cauliflower, etc. were displayed in the class.
They observed Germination and growth of Bean seeds.
Experiment1: Stem conducts water: Some white flowers along with the stem, were placed in red ink. They turned pink after a few hours.
Experiment 2: Sunlight is necessary for Photosynthesis: Beans were planted in two pots, one placed in a dark cupboard and one near the window. Plant kept in dark turned yellow as no photosynthesis took place.
