MATH AWARENESS WEEK

The Math week for grade 6 to 9 was held from 12th July to 16th July . the following activities were conducted during the Math Week.

GRADE 6

DAY 1: TREASURE HUNT: Students were given clues in the form of mathematical calculations. Each clue directed them to the next clue and nearer to the treasure.

DAY 2: MATH PUZZLES: Students had to solve worksheets on Tangrams.

DAY 3: MATH AND SHOPPING: Students had a virtual shopping experience experience, where they calculated the time and amount spent at a mall.

DAY 4: QUIZ: Students were divided into groups. They were 3 rounds

1. Previous knowledge 2. Try your luck 3. Quick calculation

GRADE 7

DAY 1: MATH PUZZLES: Students had to solve stick puzzles and puzzle on math box addition.

DAY 2: TREASURE HUNT: Students were given clues in the form of mathematical calculations. Each clue directed them to the next clue and nearer to the treasure.

DAY 3: MUMBAI DARSHAN: A virtual tour to interesting places in Mumbai in a worksheet format, wherein, the groups had to calculate the time and amount spent in each location.

DAY 4: QUIZ: Students were divided into groups. There were four rounds:

1. Squares and roots 2. Conversions 3. Try your luck 4. Time out.

GRADE 8

DAY 1 : MATH PUZZLES: Students had to solve worksheets on “Magic squares”

DAY 2 : MENSURATION: Students had to solve worksheet where a plan of a house was given and they had to find the area , perimeter etc.

DAY 3 : TREASURE HUNT : Students were given clues in the form of mathematical calculations. Each clue directed them to the next clue and nearer to the treasure.

DAY 4 : QUIZ : Students were divided into groups and had 3 rounds

1. Previous knowledge 2. Try your luck 3. Time out

GRADE 9

DAY 1 : MATH PUZZLES: Students were given Kakurao Puzzles to solve.

DAY 2 : TIME & CURRENCY: Students were given a worksheet which had questions based on World clock, foreign currency, conversions etc.

DAY 3 : QUIZ : Students were divided into groups and had 3 rounds

DAY 4 : TREASURE HUNT : Students were given clues in the form of mathematical calculations. Each clue directed them to the next clue and nearer to the treasure.
