ENGLISH GRAMMAR ACTIVITY GRADE – V A, B & C
SUBJECT AND PREDICATE
An activity was conducted on the 14th of October, 2010, to explain the concepts subject and predicate in a sentence.
A sentence was divided into subject and predicate on a card and the same shuffled and distributed to students. Each student had to come forward and display the part of the sentence. i.e. subject or predicate. The students with the subsequent match had to then come forward thereby displaying the full sentence comprising sentence and predicate. The session was fun filled and the students quickly learnt the concept of subject and predicate.
