The students prepared 3 samples of moong seeds kept
under different conditions to study their growth. The moong seeds were allowed
to germinate for 2 days and then the observations were done. Students found
that 2 samples – one which lacked water and the other proper temperature did
not germinate whereas the third sample germinated well because it had
sufficient water and appropriate temperature. The experiment explained about
various characteristics of living things like growth, reproduction, etc.
