An activity was
conducted to teach ‘Articles’. Five
Students were given flash cards of vowels A, E, I, O, U and other students were given flash cards of
the consonants.
The activity started with the song “Old Mac Donald
had a farm…….. and on his farm he had some alphabets… A, E, I, O, U.” Students holding flash cards of vowels and
those with consonants went around in the classroom. At the stop of the music,
the kids holding the vowels were called out and it was explained that words
that begin with vowels is followed by the article “An”. Then the consonants were called out and it
was explained that words that begin with a consonant are followed by the
article “A”
This made it easy to
learn Articles. Learning became fun-filled
and the children were clear with the concept.
