Grade 4 – Rangoli Competition

Rangoli is a folk art from India. Rangolis  are decorative designs made on the floors of living rooms and courtyards during Hindu festivals.
The students of Grade 4 made beautiful rangolis as a part of Math competition, where each child was given the task of drawing a rangoli using symmetry.
The students were given a grid paper having 12 by 12 cm dots on it. There was healthy competition amongst the students and they drew beautiful rangolis with vibrant colours.
The kids were very excited to show their piece of art which helped them to understand the use and importance of math in art.
