Grade 5 – Warli Art Competition

The Warlis or Varlis are an indigenous tribe or Adivasis, living in Mountainous as well as coastal areas of Maharashtra-Gujarat border and surrounding areas. Warli paintings are the examples for the students to know the use of geometrical shapes in paintings.
The students of Grade 5 created beautiful Warli art as a part of Math competition where each child was given the task of drawing a Warli painting using geometrical shapes.
The students were given a tinted black paper and with the help of white pastels and white paint, they drew various scenes using the Warli art.
The competition helped the students to display their talent.
