Design and Technology Level 1 (Grade 4)
Paper Glider
Students prepared a glider using paper and straw. Though the model was a simple one, this made them aware of how a plane flies.
They learnt that the three forces acting on a plane are:
1) Thrust, 2) Lift and 3) Drag
Each student made a model for himself / herself and was delighted to take it home.
