Heat
1) This chapter started with an introduction to Solutes and Solvents. A demonstration was done to see how different solutes like salt, sugar, coffee, lemon juice and ink dissolve in water.
2) An experiment was performed to show how different materials like cloth, paper, polythene, etc. retain the heat in a hot liquid. Polythene proved to be the best insulator.
3) A simple demonstration of brewing tea proved how a solute dissolves faster in a hot solvent.
4) Students observed the Freezing Point and Boiling Point of Water.
