Grade 6 Biology: Carbon dioxide is present in exhaled air.
An activity was conducted to show that exhaled air contains carbon dioxide. Each student was provided with lime water in a test tube and was asked to blow into it. The lime water turned milky due to the precipitate formed which confirms the presence of carbon dioxide in exhaled air. The students enjoyed the activity.
