HOW I HELP MY PARENTS AT HOME?
Playfulness and fun is often a part of Grade 1 curriculum. This is to encourage children to learn while studying. “Sunday morning” a lesson done in English formed the basis of another fun based learning activity. The children were given colourful papers on which they were asked to write, “How they helped their parents at home?”
This thought provoking question had the children thinking. Some honest and innocent answers like “I give soap to my mother when she is in the bathroom” to “I helped my father to select my birthday cake” and “I read books to my mother when she is sick” had a feeling of warmth and care.
A child’s work is always unique and original. This colourful paper with the child name was put on the flannel board making each child proud of his work.
