Changes for the academic year 2010

Changes in this academic year June 2010-April 2011
Dear Parents,

Welcome back to a fun filled and exciting academic year ahead!
The entire team at Rustomjee would like to take this opportunity to update you on the changes we have brought in across grades.

Introduction of computers and Hindi orals as a subject for Sr.Kg(Foundation)
Introduction of Animation as a subject for grades 6, 7, and 8.
Increase in number of periods allocated to Hindi (grades 6, 7, 8).
Value education: As a part of our value education series, this year we will be focusing on the principles laid down by Gandhiji, namely shramdaan, self reliance and truth. some activities that come under this include
· Confession time (Grades 4-9,once every month)
· Khari kamai –Monthly canteen (Grades 4-9 )
· Clean and green – Monthly Cleanliness drive (Grades 4-9)
· DIY (Grades 1-9) activities like sewing buttons, cleaning bikes etc as per age groups-these activities will be carried out through the year.
Council court –Disciplinary issues will be dealt with every term by the student council.(Grades 4-9)
Current Affairs – 10 minutes everyday have been allotted to current affairs for students in the secondary grades.
Skating in term 2 and 3 for Grades 1-9.
Parents and Rustomjee together- We loved the response we got from the parents as volunteers for talent workshops, field trips and job shadowing.
