EXPANSION OF NUMBERS

In the Math period Children of class III were divided into five groups. The numbers were written on the chit. One child from each group picked up a chit and read out the number to his group members. Then each child from the group was asked to show the correct flash card of the place values (hundreds, tens etc.) Children worked in a team to arrange the numbers on the chart paper according to its place value to show the expanded form of each number. Children were enthusiastic to work in a group; they helped each other during the activity and learnt how to arrange the numbers in the order of its place value.
