For the teaching of Genre, the writer’s purpose and the writer’s tone, the students of Grade IX and XI had ‘Role Play’. They were told to identify the different genres and the tone of the language while interacting with different people,
a) Parents
b) Close friends
c) Authority
d) Casual acquaintances
e) The law-keepers

The students were very emotive and carried off the role play effectively. They enjoyed the process of learning genre through role play. Many students possess great acting skills! It was indeed a memorable experience!!!
