Students of grade III were taken out for a nature- walk to chikoowadi (School campus). Students were told to observe different types of living and non-living things around the place. Students were later told to write down their observations in their notebook. Teacher asked them to list down the names of all the living and non-living things they had observed near their house, on the road, in the classroom etc. Since the characteristic features of living and non – living things were discussed, it was easy for the students to identify the difference between living and non- living things.
