Activity: Poem writing

We had a vibrant session with the kids of grade 4 for the poem writing activity. The teachers asked the students to create a poem from their own imagination and the topics given were “ The moon “ or’’ The night .The students could choose any one topic and construct a poem. The students came out with brilliant lines describing the moon and the night. Every student put in great efforts and the output was really impressive and outstanding!! The poems were written on coloured card papers and cut in different shapes and sizes and when the poem cut outs were pieced together into a chart they looked attractive. Towards the end of the session the students were proud to see their efforts being put up by the teacher on the bulletin boards. Thus every student gained the understanding of how to create a poem out of simple words and a little imagination !!!.
