Lesson : The unsinkable ship

A thought provoking activity was conducted with the grade 4 based on the lesson “ The Unsinkable Ship from the Gulmohar. For this activity the teacher divided the class into 4 groups .They were asked to bring pictures of at least two disasters on air, road, rail and sea caused due to negligence by man. The children identified and collected only incidents that were man-made . On that day the students organised these pictures on the given charts and supported them with a small write up on the tragedy. They were given the format of What , When , Where , Why and Who -questions to narrate the incident in short. Thus every group put out their own narration of all the incidents on the given charts. The activity gave them an insight on various accidents caused by negligence. It was lively session where all students participated with great enthusiasm.
