Type of venation: Grade 6




1. Type of venation:

Grade 6 students learned about types of venation in a leaf. There are 2 types of venation – reticulate and parallel venation, were explained by showing them plants having these type of venation. For reticulate venation they were shown a hibiscus leaf and for parallel venation they were shown a coconut leaf. They identified the venation themselves after the explanation. Student s enjoyed it. They identified the venation by holding the leaf across the light to make out the difference in venation.
